Your situation will never change and it will never improve, until you realize that you need to get right with God first!
The Christian life is not easy.
This very fact is evidenced by how so many Christians seem to fail in today's world. Almost all of the statistics it seems points to manhood being in a state of crisis.
Also, it would seem that Christianity in general is in a state of crisis brought on by the onslaught of liberalism and post-modernism that seeks to wreak havoc in our churches and in our lives daily.
Many sermons are preached on the need for Christians to guard their testimonies and to live a life that images Christ, their Savior. Much has been taught and said about the need to fight back against this sinful world system that hates Christ and wants to replace or eradicate Him from public life and for that matter in our personal lives as well.
I want to be a source of encouragement for you. I want to provide something that will hopefully revive you and help you find restoration if you have in fact gotten off track.
Of course, this type of revival and restoration can only be found in one place, and that is in the God of Restoration! The God of the Bible! The God who created the heavens and the earth!
Much has been written about Christian testimony, and many of these articles and writings seem to make it look so easy! Follow our easy 3-step program or go on a 12 day journey and you will be off to a wonderful Christian life!
The only problem as I can see it is: What do you do when life happens? What do you do when Satan throws you a curve ball? What do you cling to in the tough times? If you fall off into sin who can restore you to what you should be?
More than that, what do you do if you are in fact the source of your own problems? What if you make a mistake? What if you have the greatest of intentions but still seem to get off track?
What if God wants you to go one way but you instead go another?
Satan would love nothing more than to see your life, testimony and family ruined. He knows that our testimony is one of the best sermons any person can ever preach, and if he can ruin it then he has one less Christian to worry about out there in spiritual warfare.
So what can you do? What if your testimony is not what it should be? I want to help answer these questions for you. The answers can be found in studying the life of a man who saw every side of the equation.
That man.............is Jonah.
Stay tuned for Part 2......
